The staff was a little rude and the bugs turned me off and the fact that this place definitely needed some updating. But it was one and done for me I don't think I would stay there again. All in all for one night this place was fine. As far as the room being clean it was okay it was kind of a shabby room in some areas but I didn't notice that it was dirty. The air conditioning seems to work very well which I appreciate it and easy to control up and down on the temperature. The bed was fine nothing unusual about it. It is a very pretty area and I did enjoy sitting on the balcony the next morning with coffee despite the weird creepy stuff hanging off the ceiling. If you're going to be doing things right in that area like going on the boat trip or eating or drinking in that area everything is in walking distance. The balconies are large enough and they have a beautiful view of the lake. Pros: The room was very large and had a huge walk-in closet, the bathroom was a good size as well. I do understand the hotel can't be on top of it every second but maybe they should pressure wash their balconies a little more often to get that off of there. I asked some of the ladies later on in the night that live in the area and they said they are from moths and they come and build nests outside under balconies especially when your by a lake. There was a lot of them all the way up and down and it looked like it could fall off at any minute it was a little creepy. Out on the balcony up on the ceiling there was a bunch of stuff that look like nests but not from wasps or anything these were soft and kind of orange colored. The furniture is very beat up and old looking but it was fine. The second room looked much better I didn't see any bugs. I've lived in Florida my entire life I'm perfectly understanding of bugs but I still don't want to sleep in the room with them. I was told that we do have bugs here in Florida and these are from the lake. When I went downstairs to get the key for the new room the girl at the front desk was kind of rude and said if you don't like this room this is the only one we have and you'll have to find somewhere else to stay. She asked me if I'd like to switch rooms and I said yes. A woman showed up and told me she had cleaned the room earlier and there were no bugs in it at all so they must be getting in through the seal on the sliding glass door. She said she would have maintenance come up and blow the room out. Well that's okay but I still don't want to sleep underneath them. I called the front desk and she told me that they were blind mosquitoes and they don't bite. Cons: The first room they put me in at first glance appeared to be okay but when I got by the sliding glass door up on the ceiling were tons of what look like mosquitoes and there were dead ones on the bed. This place definitely has its pros and cons though. This was mostly a matter of convenience and it was only going to be for one night. Despite the reviews I chose to stay here because I was meeting friends to go on the Dora Queen boat and to have dinner right in that area. The first room they put me in at first glance appeared to be okay but when I got by the sliding glass door up on the ceiling were tons of what look like mosquitoes and there were dead ones on the bed.
